As a boy, Jeff grew up on construction job sites with tools in his hands and knew early in life that the construction trade was the life for him. He always wanted to be with his grandfather and uncle on their building sites instead of playing on the playground. Because of his love for building, he has become fifth generation builder in his family with direct roots to three generations of Master Builders from England.
After graduation from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, he joined his family owned Architectural and General Contracting firm in Southern California. Two years later, he began is career in the log home business after immigrating to British Columbia and has been working full time in the log home industry for the last thirty years.
After enjoying three and a half years in British Columbia, he moved back to Northern California and owned and operated his own handcrafted log home manufacturing business for nine years. Concurrently, he was the Instructor of a handcrafted log home construction program at a California Community College in Weed, California.
After leaving Northern California, Jeff worked for two other log home companies in the Pacific Northwest. During that time he project managed some of the most notable log and timber projects built in recent years. These projects include Disney’s Wilderness Lodge in Orlando, FL, Universal Studio’s, Islands of Adventure, Camp Jurassic in Orlando, FL, The Great Platte River Archway Monument in Kearney, NE and Disney’s Grand California Hotel in Anaheim, CA.
Jeff’s unique and diverse experience and background made him the perfect fit for becoming the General Manager at Caribou Creek Log Homes in 2006. He has a true belief in the team approach to success and encourages all of the employees at CCLH to strive to produce the finest products available anywhere in the marketplace.
Jeff’s belief is that it is our responsibility to provide our customers with the finest built home, for the greatest value. And at the same time he encourages both our employees and clients to enjoy and have fun with the process. This style of leadership has proven to be working well as testified by our long term employees and very satisfied customers. |
